We are a group of highly-trained Registered Dietitian-Nutritionists and New York State Certified Dietitian-Nutritionists with specialties ranging from prenatal nutrition to pediatric nutrition to eating disorders.

Though our backgrounds and experiences are diverse, we all share the same expert nutrition knowledge and passion for helping others transform their lives through food and lifestyle change.
Leah Wolofsky, MS, RD, CDN, Esq,
Owner
Leah Wolofsky is a registered dietitian-nutritionist, licensed NYS attorney, and an authority in the area of dietetics-nutrition practice and the law.
She started Boro Park Nutrition (now more broadly called The Dietitian Group) from counseling clients out of her living room back in 2014. Her warm, friendly and down-to-earth personality grew an overwhelming clientele and soon led her to expand the business and hire other dietitians.
Leah is a nationally-renowned expert in the area of the practice of nutrition and the law and nutrition practice regulation both within and across state lines as well as in CDR credentialing standards and guidelines.
She is also an accomplished author and speaker. Her speaking engagements have included many well-known dietetic internship programs, college campuses, and community organizations. She has authored her first book, A Brand New You (Menucha Publishers) in 2018.
Leah’s mission is to ensures the dietitian group remains true to its vision no matter how big it grows—to provide a personal non-intimidating atmosphere to help clients surpass their nutritional goals.
When not counseling clients or running the business, Leah enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
Candice Silver, MS, RD, CDN

Candice Silver is a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) and New York State certified dietitian-nutritionist (CDN) with a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Brooklyn College. She has extensive training in nutrition across the lifespan, working with individuals from infants to seniors.
​
Candice currently works as a clinical dietitian, providing nutrition therapy and counseling in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She helps clients manage and prevent chronic conditions including cardiovascular disease (heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol), diabetes, endocrine disorders (thyroid conditions, PCOS), GERD, renal disease, weight management, and cancer. Candice takes a client-centered approach, using SMART goals and motivational interviewing to help clients make lasting, healthy changes.
​
During her dietetic internship at Kings County Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center, Candice gained valuable experience in clinical nutrition and food service management, including meal planning and large-scale food operations.
Candice is passionate about nutrition education, particularly in underserved communities. She has taught nutrition in after-school programs in low-income neighborhoods and led healthy cooking demonstrations through City Harvest, helping families make nutritious, affordable meals at home.

Fluent in Spanish, Candice is committed to providing personalized, culturally sensitive care. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, swimming, and spending time with her three kittens and family.
Sima Zilberberg, RD
Sima Zilberberg is a registered dietitian-nutritionist, and a graduate of The University of Alabama and NutrasourceRD dietetic internship.
Prior to joining The Dietitian Group, Sima interned in long-term and acute care facilities was a nutrition counselor for three years. She specializes in counseling children, adults, and seniors. She is passionate about helping people live healthier lives.
When not counseling clients, Sima can be found cooking in the kitchen and spending time with her family.
Elana Sturm MS, RDN, CDN
Elana Sturm is a registered dietitian-nutritionist, a New York State certified dietitian-nutritionist and a graduate of Brooklyn College with a Master of Science in Nutrition.

Prior to joining The Dietitian Group, Elana completed her dietetic internship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where she then began her career working as a clinical dietitian. She specializes in eating disorders, disordered eating, diabetes and pediatric nutrition and is passionate about helping others disconnect from a history of disordered eating, in order to begin a new healthy lifestyle centered around balance, moderation and body positivity.

When not counseling clients, you can find Elana whipping up something tasty in the kitchen, staying active with dance and yoga, playing guitar or piano, or traveling on a new adventure with a good book in tow.
Karen Wright, CNS, CDN, MSHNFM
Karen Wright is a New York state certified dietitian-nutritionist and a graduate of University of Western States with a Master’s in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine.

In addition to being part of Boro Park Nutrition team, Karen works as a nutritionist at Metro Integrative Pharmacy. Her experience includes working with the fireman, police officers and rescue workers affected by September 11th World Trade Center attacks. She is passionate about helping people transform their health through delicious foods, movement and by detoxifying their living environment.

Karen specializes in environment and functional nutrition and is the author of the book “Is It Mold? A Holistic Approach to Managing a Commonly Overlooked Condition.” Karen actively researches the role that toxins play in the health and seeks solutions to resolve those issues.

When not counseling clients, Karen can be found folding modular origami or continuing with her professional studies.
Art Gillman, MS, RD, CDN
​
Art is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, a New York State certified dietitian-nutritionist, and a graduate of Teachers College, Columbia University, with a Master’s degree in Nutrition Education.
​
Prior to joining The Dietitian Group, Art worked as a Community Nutritionist, providing nutritional counseling and nutrition education with the nonprofit, social service organization CAMBA. He also previously worked with participants in public health research studies at Columbia University Medical Center for several years. He specializes in clients with chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and prediabetes, as well as overweight and obese clients, who are interested in gradual weight loss. He emphasizes to his clients the importance of having a healthy relationship with food. Art enjoys working with clients of all ages, especially children & adolescents and older adults/seniors. Furthermore, he is fluent in Spanish. He is passionate about motivating clients to achieve their short-term nutrition goals, while at the same time adopting a healthier lifestyle over the long term.
When not counseling clients, Art can be found running half-marathons, sweating it out in the sauna, singing karaoke, sampling exotic cuisines, and traveling with his wife and two children to exciting, new destinations.
Katherine Walker, MS, RDN, CDN
Katherine Walker is a registered dietitian-nutritionist, a New York State certified dietitian-nutritionist, and a graduate of Saint Elizabeth University with a Master's degree in Nutrition.
Prior to joining The Dietitian Group, Katherine gained clinical nutrition experience working in a short-term rehab and nursing home center, where she provided nutrition care to older adults facing a wide variety of medical concerns. Katherine also has experience working with children and families in Head Start programs, teaching children about healthy foods and helping parents work around common nutrition issues that they may face with their children. She specializes in pediatric nutrition and geriatric nutrition and has worked extensively with patients with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and renal disease. She is passionate about finding ways to make a balanced diet fun and enjoyable and teaching others how to do the same.
When not counseling clients, Katherine can be found at the gym, in the kitchen trying out new recipes, or spending time with friends and family.
Michelle Wolff, RDN, CDN

Michelle Wolff is a registered dietitian-nutritionist, a New York State Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist and a graduate of University of North Florida.
​
Prior to joining The Dietitian Group, Michelle interned at Boro Park Center, a rehabilitation facility and as a writer and editor for a nutrition news magazine.
​
She specializes in eating disorders and intuitive eating. She is passionate about helping others find food freedom and discover the joy of eating again.
When not counseling clients, Michelle can be found trying a new restaurant, writing or hanging out with her dog Beau.
Diane Giammarino-Tedaldi, MS RDN,CDN, Cert GAPS Practitioner
Diane Giammarino-Tedaldi is a registered dietitian-nutritionist, a New York State certified dietitian-nutritionist, a certified GAPStm Practitioner and a graduate of New York University.
Prior to joining The Dietitian Group, Diane worked with patients of all ages from pre-natal to pediatrics to geriatrics with conditions ranging from eating disorders to GI conditions to autoimmune disorders and cancer. She worked in a major hospital for over a decade as well as several outpatient settings. Diane is well-trained in functional nutrition and herbal medicine. She is passionate about empowering patients to reach their goals using food as their medicine, helping them realize that they have more control over their health than they think.

When not counseling clients, Diane can be found riding her bike, kayaking with her family and friends, cooking, foraging, and fermenting foods.
Leddy Mezarina, MS, RD, CDN

Leddy Mezarina is a registered dietitian-nutritionist and a New York State-certified dietitian-nutritionist with a Master of Science degree from Lehman College. Prior to her tenure with The Dietitian Group, she gained extensive experience as a Clinical Chief Dietitian at a multi-care center in New York State and in private practice.
​
Leddy specializes in dietary management for metabolic health, with a particular focus on pediatric, geriatric, weight management, diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disease. Her dedication to assisting individuals in achieving their health and wellness goals is evident through her advocacy for sustainable lifestyle changes. Additionally, Leddy is proficient in Spanish.

Outside of her professional commitments, Leddy enjoys experimenting with new healthy recipes, dancing, running, hiking, and traveling.
​Tova Potesky-Oldak, RDN-CDN

Tova is a registered dietitian-nutritionist, a New York State certified dietitian-nutritionist, and a graduate of the University of Alabama.
​
Prior to joining The Dietitian Group, Tova completed her dietetic internship at The Willows at Ramapo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Through this, she has experience in many types of Medical Nutrition Therapy, but she mainly specializes in obesity in both adults and pediatrics. She is passionate about helping people change and helping them keep that change for good.
When not counseling clients, Tova can be found shopping, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
Malky Sperlin, RD, CDN

Malky Sperlin is a registered dietitian-nutritionist, a New York State certified dietitian-nutritionist, and a graduate of University of Alabama.
​
Malky is a second-career dietitian with extensive life experience and an interest in specializing in Celiac Disease. Her passion is to educate and inspire her clients to make healthier lifestyle choices that will last. She enjoys empowering people to lead a balanced and wholesome lifestyle.

When not counseling clients, Malky can be found nourishing her family, reading and researching the most updated scientific research on wellness.
Shara Paley MS RDN

Shara Paley is a registered dietitian-nutritionist and a graduate of CUNY Queens College and Boston University.
​
Prior to joining The Dietitian Group, Shara worked as an outpatient and inpatient Dietitian specializing in eating disorders She specializes in recognizing and treating eating disorders and is a trained and certified Intuitive Eating RDN. She is passionate about teaching people to nourish themselves from the inside and outside and about fitness as a way of life.

When not counseling clients, Shara can be found cooking, walking her dog , Cody, and spending time with friends and family. Especially her grandchildren!
Shoshana Loebenberg-Bittman RDN,CDN

Shoshana Loebenberg-Bittman is a registered dietitian-nutritionist, a New York State certified dietitian-nutritionist, and a graduate of The University of Alabama.
Prior to joining The Dietitian Group, Shoshana gained experience through her internship in a long-term care rehabilitation and nursing center. She specializes in helping people develop a positive, sustainable relationship with food and their bodies. She is passionate about making healthy, fulfilling lifestyles accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
When not counseling clients, Shoshana can be found in the kitchen, shopping, or spending time with family.
Dylan Gilbert MS, CNS, CDN
Dylan is a Certified Nutrition Specialist, a New York State Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist, and a graduate of the University of Western States with a Master’s in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine.
Prior to joining The Dietitian Group, Dylan was an intern at the practice. Dylan provides personalized nutrition counseling and support to clients with diverse health needs. Dylan specializes in a whole-foods approach to nutrition and helps clients by cultivating mindful eating practices and creating sustainable habits.
When not counseling clients, Dylan can be found exploring new recipes and staying active outdoors.
